Local Solutions wants to help our community stay a desirable and livable place for future generations. An important part of that effort is to help elect progressive populist candidates to office.

The deadline to file papers for the November election (and submit the necessary petition signatures) is August 11!

If you are a progressive person committed to promoting a populist progressive agenda that protects workers' rights, civil rights, access to affordable health care, quality education, a clean and healthy environment, and reproductive freedom-- please consider serving your community by being a candidate!

If you have any questions, or you know a progressive populist person who is considering a run for local office, please contact us at 496-3756.

For the right candidate(s), we will help:

· Raise contributions and provide opportunities for direct financial support to local political campaigns.
· Coordinate volunteer campaign support (including phonebanking and walking lists).
· Fashion, frame and implement media and advertising campaigns.
· Assist in establishing and maintaining campaign and volunteer data bases.
· Provide critical campaign counsel and infrastructure needs to selected candidates.

Below is a list of the local offices on November 7, 2006.
